If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity to engage with Vancouver's vibrant arts and culture scene, we'd love to hear from you!
TTS is currently seeking individuals with expertise in the following areas: community outreach, fundraising/development, financial management, and information technology to support our organization dedicated to supporting and promoting local artists with disabilities/mixed abilities.
ABOUT THE THEATRE TERRIFIC SOCIETY
Theatre Terrific Society is a trailblazing mixed-ability theatre company that has been championing inclusivity in the arts since 1985.
As one of Canada's first theatre companies to embrace artists of all abilities, we are committed to breaking down the systemic barriers that many of our artists face – being disabled in an ableist society, deaf in an audist society, elderly in an ageist society, or struggling with the impacts of poverty, trauma, and mental health challenges.
TTS is dedicated to tackling the challenges of accessibility, representation, and inclusion in the arts by breaking down stereotypes and fostering empathy across diverse communities. We create work that resonates with universal human experiences, bridging differences through storytelling. With a compassionate yet bold approach to theatre-making, we cultivate spaces where respect, rigor, and risk drive the creative process.
What’s unique about TTS?
-
Our productions create opportunities for individuals who might not typically have the chance to create and perform in professional productions to do so, empowering them to co-create thought provoking works that explore universally relevant human themes. -
TTS is an established organization with 40 years of delivering outstanding productions and skills training to people with disabilities and mixed abilities.
